Quickgui: Veritas A

How to start it:

  • Icon on desktop

  • Run in terminal: “quickgui /mxn/home/veritas-user/quickgui/veritas_a.yml”

What does it do?

This is a general interface for moving motors in the beamline.

When do I need to use it

This is typically used for beamline optimization.

Quickgui: Veritas B

How to start it:

  • Icon on desktop

  • Run in terminal: “quickgui /mxn/home/veritas-user/quickgui/veritas_b.yml”

What does it do?

It is used for moving motors on the open-port branch of the beamline.

When do I need to use it?

You will use this if you are a user at the B-branch. Beamline optimization, set monochromator exit slits and beamline energy.

Quickgui: Veritas A endstation

  • Run in terminal: “quickgui /mxn/home/veritas-user/quickgui/endstation_a.yml”

What does it do?

This is a general interface for moving motors needed to operate the big spectrometer.

When do I need to use it?

  • Sample transfer

  • Moving and rotating the sample

  • Changing beamline energy, monochromator exit slit

  • Changing Q-angle of the spectrometer

  • Changing energy of the spectrometer.
